Helios Ventures B.V. originates, develops and finances renewable energy infrastructure — from greenfield solar parks and grid-scale battery storage to sustainable data centres and green hydrogen. We combine hands-on development capability with disciplined, institutional-grade investment.
Our team has built and exited renewable platforms across two decades, operating today through a network of project companies and strategic holdings spanning Western Europe, South-Eastern Europe and Türkiye. We invest our own capital alongside co-investors, development finance institutions and strategic partners.

04 Where We Operate
The Netherlands is undergoing aggressive grid expansion and storage mandate rollout. We focus on solar PV and grid-scale BESS assets where SDE++ subsidy frameworks and grid operator relationships create investment certainty.
Romania offers among the highest solar irradiation in Central Europe with land availability, competitive development costs, and a rapidly maturing regulatory framework. We operate as direct equity investors and local development partners.
Italy combines strong solar irradiation with accelerating storage demand and a supportive capacity-market framework. We pursue solar PV and co-located storage development across high-value grid zones.
Spain offers some of Europe’s most competitive solar economics, deep grid capacity and a maturing storage market. We focus on utility-scale solar and hybrid storage in regions with strong resource and offtake fundamentals.
Türkiye's geography creates rare opportunities in secure, energy-efficient digital infrastructure, alongside an operating renewable portfolio. Our Turkish operations focus on sovereign-grade data infrastructure where location and structural advantages create durable competitive moats.

As solar and wind penetration increases, grid stability requires dispatchable storage. Battery energy storage systems are transitioning from ancillary service providers to core infrastructure — and the investment window for development-stage BESS is open now.
Romania, Türkiye, and similar markets offer structurally attractive renewable development economics that pan-European funds cannot efficiently access. Direct equity investors with on-the-ground relationships capture development margin that arms-length capital cannot.
AI-driven compute demand and national data sovereignty requirements are creating demand for secure, energy-efficient digital infrastructure in locations that cannot be replicated. First-mover positioning in the right geographies creates durable competitive moats.
